Alopecia (hair loss) - Alopecia is the medical word for hair loss. There are many different causes including heredity, infections, hair styling processes, internal diseases, and medications. Treatment depends on the cause of the hair loss.

Seborrheic Dermatitis/Dandruff - Redness, scaling and itching on the scalp and face are common, especially in winter and with stress. The right shampoo and prescription cream can control it.

About Dr. Brody

Dr. Robert Brody is a dermatologist in Shaker Heights, Ohio and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including University Hospitals of Cleveland, Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Marymount Hospital.

He received his B.A. with distinction from Stanford University and his medical degree from University of Michigan Medical School. He has been in practice in Northeast Ohio for more than 40 years.
